First Year Charm School 2022

The Blackjack Wing held its annual First-Year Charm School on September 21, 2022. First-Year Charm School is an event dedicated to training first-year cadets with a regimen of PT, drill, and classroom instruction. 57 first-years were given a loud welcome at 5:30 in the morning, then proceeded to PT as a group, with upperclassmen motivating them along the way. Afterwards, they were taught the basics of drill, including basic movements and marching in formation. The first-year cadets also received classroom instruction, including basic knowledge and how to construct the short sleeve blue shirt. At the end of the day, all of the cadets officially graduated and now know the basics of being a JROTC cadet. Congratulations to all of the first-year cadets that arrived and shoutout to all of the upperclassmen cadets that volunteered to show up on that day, especially C/CMSgt Jayla Williams-Beverly, who orchestrated this entire event!
