Creech AFB CIA Trip 2023
On March 9th, 2023, the Blackjack Wing visited Creech Air Force Base in a Curriculum in Action trip. A select group of cadets was allowed to access the base and learned about drones, flight operations, and the Air Force mission. Cadets learned about RPA systems such as the RQ-170 Sentinel and MQ-9 Reaper, which involved seeing different aircraft models in the hangars and then controlling a tailor-made flight simulator for the Reaper. RPA pilots taught cadets the process of flying missions, including reconnaissance and attack. The tour also involved cadets embarking on the flight line to view an MQ-9 landing. Finally, cadets enjoyed the on-base dining facility and had lunch, which they described as "very delicious," "really cool," and "great food." Overall, every cadet enjoyed the CIA trip and learned a lot about drones, flight, and the Air Force. Thank you to the 432nd Wing for teaching and building positive experiences for the cadets!
